Siyakha Consulting founded The Siyakha Development Trust in early 2014 after it became clear to us that funds associated with empowerment-related investment in South Africa needed to be properly managed, distributed and administered in order to fully maximise their impact.
By leveraging our long-standing track-record of SMME development, we are able to provide a suitable vehicle for our clients to purposefully invest in developmental initiatives that support Localisation, economic growth, job creation and the growth of black businesses.

The current Trustees of the Trust are Dionne Kerr and Jeanett Modise, both having a deep seated passion for Transformation across the economy, companies and the people of South Africa.

At its inception, the beneficiaries of the Trust were at least 51% Black people and Black Owned EME’s and QSE’s.
After two years of activity, we felt that even more needed to be done to uplift, upskill and grow South Africa, and therefore we increased our beneficiary participation from 51% to 100%  Black people and Black Owned EME’s and QSE’s. The amended Trust Deed has been lodged with the Courts and a new IT number will be issued shortly.

The Trust provides a financial vehicle for companies, clients, industry partners and peers to invest and co-invest into a well-managed and independent Trust.  We place the management of the Trust, in accordance with South African law, at the centre of our operational focus, ensuring uncompromised dedication to administration and fiduciary compliance and transparancy.
